Whatever tampon's reason is I'll probably not like him for the MC. I won't even accept him as 2nd male lead nor them be friends again. Doing nothing and also joining the bullying of your considered "brother" since both of them came from the same orphanage is plain betrayal and stupid. I'll understand if he did nothing and just ignore the MC with his bullies cause he is scared to be part of it but being chummy with the bullies and smiling while seeing your best friend getting messed up is a big NO for me.
