I can't remember the reasons for any of this but From what I remember the FL and ml regresses many times at this point, the fl was tortured by the crown prince so severely and that when they she realised only way out was to regress but the only way to regress I think was to inflict really bad trauma on the ml, this was done for many lifetimes, every time the ml tried to stop it he would fail and end with that trauma. This made him twisted and so this time when they regressed he got rid of her memories, this is why she thinks it's a game.
If there are novel readers, please give a more better summary, I tried lol.
...so NGL I don't feel bad too bad for fl (after reading the spoilers) but I do want the prince to go down and after reading the spoilers I want the princes gone even more.
Let's just say he is the root cause as to why ml and(FL) are messed up.
