I felt the exact same way!!!!! His character did a 180 like five times sometimes he's that cold, somewhat rude man with a warm heart, and then now he's this walking puppy. His character seems very unsure and not solidified, even with the context of his backstory. I wish he regained his memories, but kept his personality as the one we were introduced to.

Also the other thing is. Even if taehyuk regain the memories, taehyuk of the present is not taehyuk of the past. Like their souls or whatever may be the same cuz reincarnation, but present taehyuk lived a different life. He is his own person. Hyo-un is treating him like they're the same person which I'm kinda eh with that. Like there's gotta be more to this character than "sir sir sir" right? Hyoun is cute but he's kinda shallow as a character. There's nothing there except his obsession for one man lol.

It's one of the things I don't like about reincarnation stories (apart from not being that accurate, even if they are good), it's that there is no distinction between present lover and past life lover. The present one, even if they remembered have lived a whole new life and they are a whole other person. It's like the authors don't known how to...cure...their past relationship and they just write like they are just one person now, and they always see the past as the present.

I say it's a little bit inaccurate because I have studied reincarnation for years and even (respectfully) asked monks to please explain it to me.

No i literally said the same thing a few chapters back in the comments, hyo-un’s attitude change just feels like even though he had to spend 300 years apart from his “master” he as a character had many grown at all without him, and I guess that makes sense with the idea that tehyuk was his father figure and raised him and the fact he didn’t want to move on and fell asleep but it still feel like we haven’t really advanced to anything and we just have seen what happened to lead up to this point. It’s so much story but in the end it doesn’t make sense and comes off as extremely repetitive with good effort for an outline of the story so that it’s not just p*rn with a badly executed elongation of the outline. Idk if this makes sense but I like to yap so I hope you understand lol
I kind of wish Hyo-un's mindset of "I don't care about my previous master anymore. I want you, Taehyuk" remained even after knowing Taehyuk IS his previous master's reincarnation. This whole current Sir thing doesn't feel like him (even though hes pretty cute acting all pure) and feels forced in order to show a connection with his past. Is this clear idk pls tell me maybe my reading comprehension's shit and there's a reason he's doing it
