Exactly! I dropped TBATE because of that one reason. At first, i tried to brush it off since the plot was so, so good but when it kept happening, I just can't :(
Also, in my personal opinion, i don't like the elf girl be the FL since c'mon, they met when both still little brat, although in Art's case, only physically, so as a man; old man; a fully grown adult, wasn't he suppose to think the girl like his little sister??? Wasn't it odd for he to develop that romantic love for her? It wouldn't be weird if they both mentally like their age, childhood friends to lovers is okay if it were like that (something like Detective Conan) but no. Art wasn't like dat. So its rubbed me in the wrong way hence drop the whole novel.
When I first saw the manhwa release, I'm somewhat happy, totally squealing for the adorable Art. Then the elf girl introduced, I still continue, and then they entered the academy arc, dats when a pulled a break. I thought I might be fine with manhwa version but I was wrong.
I'm happy to see its not just me then.

unpopular opinion, usually in reincarnation manhwa i dont mind when the mc / story taken an interest in romance BUT NOT WHEN YOU ARE OLD, DIE AND REBORN IN DIFFERENT BODY ESPECIALLY IN A CHILD BODY. i see them as a groomer/pedo tbh.
i like chung myung when he said he is actually a grandpa and see her as a grandchild to tang clan girl.
it's acceptable for me when he grow old enough to have a romance interest to someone female also adult.
