Honestly the mom is so hate-able in the evil rich person kind of way, but I kind of want her to have just an ounce of redemption in helping the FL shake off her son, just as a fellow woman. I know it’s probs not gonna happen though, she doesn’t seem like she has any decency like that.

Hard to say tbh. She hasn’t really made a major moves that would tell us if she’s really that petty of a person to screw with the FL when the FL hasn’t done anything to her really.
there’s some lead up to my theory; since a, the housemaid shirt (a grown woman terrorizing a teen js bcz her son had a pecking of interest to her is weirdddd ) and then b, “keeping a close eye on her” so she knows where her son and FL stand. other than that, yeah i agree she hasn’t made any major moves to truly describe who she really is as a character. hoping it’s not a shit show down the line
True, I forgot about the shirt scene, though I feel like that was less pettiness and more a calculated move to make sure the FL ‘knows her place’. She can be cruel, but does she enjoy cruelty for its own sake? That is the question.
Yea I think shit just might hit the fan with the unstable element of the annoying blonde guy, I’m confident that FL & ML will destroy them in the end and it will be hella satisfying to read if it does happen though
