The author said they will be up together. I was told they said that in an interview. According to the author this story is meant for Cirrus’ character growth or something along those lines.

I don’t it’ll be a sad ending but I also don’t think it’ll be happy ending. At least not the kind of happy endings we are use to seeing in store, considering the genre and Paskim storytelling. I only want the following:
For them to heal and have happiness in their life
For the ending to not be rushed
For us to be see their relationship for more than 3 chapters, once their character development arc ends
Chan-il + Cirrus being best friends again. In fact the whole group of friends together again having fun.
