I looooove the new take that this series is going with! A divorce lawyer who also has clients that are the "MC" of their own stories and have to deal with the classic " I will divorce the Duke before my death flag rises/before the original heroine returns" is such a good theme and has so much ammo to work with~
The current client ticks all the boxes of modern women thrown into her fav romance novel and trying to survive as the villainous and it's interesting to see that character trope interact with actual level-headed characters, and how much that makes readers hate the current client more. From other comments I've read it seems like the client Estelle is annoying and to ditsy for the readers to like her compared to our established stoic and straightforward lawyer MC.
While if this was a typical isekai, we the readers would probably love that character trope and find the stoic divorce lawyer and silly duchess as a fun combo to play off of each other. But seeing things from another perspective, the duchess hurts more than she helps her lawyer try and grant her the wanted divorce. I can't help but think "wow this author really knows how to change the perspective on these beloved trope cheaters and make me root for the usually background character; the lawyer there to help with a divorce"
All in all this is a great perspective switch story and I wish I would follow more cliche trope in the future! "Cheating husband and sister/ killed me in a past life but loves me now/ Saint who awakens and isn't believed and Fiance is taken by the fake saint" just a few that came from the top of my head.
