From the beginning he remembers all lives. He had memories of the prior timeline even when he married Ines. Then he committed suicide in the timeline he was married to Ines and the timeline he ran away. That’s two times he regressed. Anyone who commits suicide is punished with memories of the timeline in which they committed suicide. Therefore, in a nutshell, he remembers three timelines before this current one.

I like to joke and say that all of Mendoza, the capital city, became Ines and Carcel shippers. All of it is Ines’s doing. She started the series of articles with a romantic painting of her and Carcel published in the newspaper then pieces on the wives who are left behind and then the bravery of the men on the battlefield. This became a major power in winning public opinion throughout the country that strongly supported Ines/Carcel against the crown prince and his wife.
