There’s a similar book with a demon instead of a mermaid. The demon had the chance to go and talk to his mate and his mate didn’t want anything to do with him and he was apparently straight . The demon didn’t overly pursue him but he did stalk him and was aware of what he was doing. The human thought it was weird but was intrigued like this MC and then he all of a sudden remembered everything and they got together. That’s why I don’t understand the outrage over this ML . I, personally, would want my soulmate or past love to come find me and pursue me again. I would do it to them too .
