I get it but I think what he means is he loved her like he loves FL now. When in a relationship, he gives them his all and he doesn’t just like someone random or date whoever comes by.
I think that’s better tbh, bc if u think about it, and he said no he didn’t love her as much as FL, it wouldn’t make him our soft puppy ML anymore, it’ll just make him some guy that dated a girl he didn’t even really love that much.
