This manhwa is sooo...predictable and boring. I can see people really like it but it is just...so boring. The main reason for my dislike is probably LRot himself.

His character is so...devoid of substance, it is driving me nuts. I had to literally scroll fast through chapters since the 30s. People might like characters like this but it really grates my nerves, he reminds me of that character from Rose and Champagne or whatever. Loud, obnoxious, unintentionally rude and dismissive.

I like the premise, but the execution was so bad. Maybe the novel did it better, but this manhwa seemed sanitised for some reason. There was no depth whatsoever to any character or plot arc. Even the B villain which was the driving force of the main character was just some random dude in Japan that had such a stupid and shallow reason for doing what he did and then he just disappeared with no trace...so anti-climactic.

I like that VX was the ML since it was pretty obvious from the start and he actually was good at his work and imho deserved his reputation; but LROT on the other hand...is embarrassing, really. Maybe it's just me but exploration of his skills fell so flat...all he could do was flex on that immature kid that shittalked him every chance he got. It was VX that took care of literally everything.

Idk, I can see people are going gaga over this story and I don't see it. The hacker jargon was uninteresting, I see the potential in the story, but nah, dawg. I literally have never scrolled fast through chapters in any manhwa before...this was the first one. It truly felt like "If I skipped 5 chapters, it wouldn't matter."

Idk, I'm a bit disappointed but people who are enjoying this, I'm happy for you. This couple is sweet but honestly, it could've been better. But that would maybe require a different type of mc. I have no problems with Yiyeon except for him being super creepy and controlling at the start... it was lowkey making me even more mad at Lrot like "Bitch do you have literal no survival instincts?"

Like he has trauma from almost being killed, but the first hacker he meets, he reveals all his plans to him (like of it wasn't VX but B instead...then what?) Like how dumb are you, dawg?

Idk. I gave this 3/5 when I first started reading it, now it's down to 1.5. The worst sin this story committed was not realising its own potential.

I do really love the manhwa, but now that I think abiut it, I think I have the same thoughts like you, but with different feelings. Like, VX and Black being Yiyeon is anti-climatic, and B being a random guy is also kinda lame. But, I was always thinking that they're gonna highten the suspense somehow and trick the readers by playing on what they think they know. E.G, I was always hoping that B wasn't a random guy, and I think we're going to see that be the case? Maybe his partner is a .... deeper character. I was really hoping that Black was a different person too, to be more interesting. I guess I'm reading this story expecting a big twist, if it doesn't happen then it will be really anti=climatic. I don't read a lot of Shounen-Ai so I've actually found MCs tough-but-not-too-tough character to be refreshing. I think he's the type of character everyone asks for, not an enabler for misunderstandings, at least tries to work through his issues, and understands his feelings better than most people. But, that could make for a boring character too, he doesn't have... flaws. I also think their relationship is refreshing as it's very sweet. It's weird because I agree with with all your ideas, but our hearts don't feel the same LOL. If the story does get anticlimatic again with new reveals, I probably will feel the same way. Now that I think about it, if MC is boring, to be fair, the ML is also boring ╥﹏╥

I LOVED this in the first season but tbh I kinda agree with you for season 2. It is feeling so rushed. They had that big reveal at the end of season 1 but like we didn't get to enjoy their reactions and I was hoping the uke would have a cooler reaction. Like shock, or hurt, or like...anything. he was quite literally just like "omg so cool" and that's like all he did.
And the whole kidnapping sequence in season 2 was so sudden and honestly kinda cringe. He turned into a damsel in distress and had to be saved by his boyfriend, which I hated. Plus it seemed like such a big deal but it lasted like one chapter? And then they got all horny right after he was saved, like what even???

Honestly I'm a little disappointed how season 2 is going and I feel so let down especially because the "big reveal" was not that much of a big reveal.

And I agree that season 1 was stretched out a bit too much. I think there were too many chapters that revolved around him just doing hacker shit without actually progressing the plot.

I'm still going to read it because the art is gorgeous and it's a unique plot but I'm a little bit disappointed right now. I hope it turns back around.
