We as the readers can like a webtoon but still be critical about it. That doesn’t diminish the effort the artist has been putting in. The readers have been supportive and every chapter’s comment section was filled with anticipation for the next one, this is so far the only time where people were dissatisfied and it’s due to the importance of the chapter. It was like the reveal to all that has been happening. But alas, I’m no artist and I also don’t know how to do this chapter better, but it would’ve been helpful to stick more to the original novel and to 2 chapters instead of one? Well there are also deadlines to keep so maybe not. All in all: we as the end consumer will be criticising something if it’s not met with our expectations, but that doesn’t mean that we will disregard the whole work because imo the webtoon has been great so far.
As I scrolled to the comment section, I've seen some comments getting disappointed to the latest chapter of the manwha, This is just my opinion as an artist myself, and I will view this as an artist too, in fact it is indeed a bit different from the novel, the novel's chapter has more depth than this, and more exciting and agonizing, however I do understand the artist, they are trying their best to create beautiful and breathtaking panel, they are doing their best to show Ruby's emotions and feeling, and in fact, they gave it justice it was good, as an artist myself, it is hard to draw Digital arts, especially creating emotion out of the characters, also having deadlines and thinking of giving chapters must put the artist into a lot of pressure, they need to cut some part, to make sure that the artist won't be put into strenuous work and the story won't take too long, we won't want to wait 2 more years for this story to end right?, let's consider how hard it is for the artist to draw for us, and give us beautiful characters and throughout the chapters they've done great, and they give all the characters justice, they gave proper life out of the characters in the novel. You might not know how pressuring it is to create manwha, I've tried it before too, but decided to stop, because it consumes a lot of my time, and it's hard to draw a consistent beautiful characters, I don't want people laughing at my drawing after all, so I decided to stop midway.
