This is so grey area

You know what instead of just shooting the infected, they should have just confined them in a place so that when they really change into insects or plants they could be disposed of without guilt or this resistance from the mob... But doing the things sooner than later is also less time consuming... This novel just breaks my heart... Soon it will go from eliminating only infected to leaving behind useless humans

wouldnt that be a bad idea? if they were to quarantine them, lots of people come and go the base, theres already many trails to pass through before finally getting to the arbiter, and if they put people in isolation along with the judging who knows how long that would take before the citizens can actually freely roam the place. if they were to put them in isolation, theyll be nothing better than a prisoner in a cell, trapped and waiting for the day they fully mutate, that seem more crueler, not to mention where would they put these infected people? cant be in the same room, otherwise if one transforms, itll just kill the others along with it, so that would be pointless....... sorry im yapping

Your yapping is accepted because I was doing the same thing.

The notion was that people will not hold Arbiters responsible for death of infecteds. They're doomed if they're infected so it shouldn't matter if they mutate immediately in the isolation or after a long time. They are fated to die like that .
And I'll take into consideration that they shouldn't confine infected with non infected but if there's a chance that Lu Feng judged them all right then they'll all turn at some point for sure and one infected with plant gene will not attack another plant gene one in the same room and if it's the animal ones than they can kill each other without the hassle or guilt for the Arbiters and soldiers. I only thought about Arbiters suffering from those anti slogans. They don't even realise how important & burdensome the Arbiters role is for them. What do you think now?

I think the point that they're killing them sooner is so that the monsters won't get the human genes. Because if they did they would became smarter and I think it would be possible for an outbreak to happen.

In the novel a people soon begun getting infected without even having to touch the xenogeneic. So by going with the isolation theory, people will get more infected.

I mean true, but those bugs will soon develop or mutate into something more horrifying, like infecting humans without contact that will put the human race into a much more dangerous situation... but yeah, it's not like they know that yet, but eii! The more cautious, the better.
