the monsters are evolving in infecting humans, they get to the point of doing it even without physical contact, Lu Feng method of killing they right away is the only thing that made the city stay safe this far. It's extremely sad bc An Zhe realize that Lu Feng is a really good person, it brokes my heart knowing what he had to do to save everyone

The think he could see in the manga after being bitten by the insect was the insects memory he could sort of connect himself with them.
Also...
I feel bad for the old man and poet because they make you really like them in the novel and you get attached and when they have to leave everyone to die in the city when it's being destroyed you could sort of tell that he felt really bad.

It’s so understandable how scared the people are, how hated lufeng must actually be instead of being treated like a hero. “Let the man do his job” but just imagine the pure fear one must feel on judgement day.
I believe his way of identifying the infected is very accurate - still, knowing that the rate of deaths going up must be suspicious to them. I don’t believe lufeng is wrong (ya know, because of plot and mc energy haha) but it must be terrifying to see someone kill so many, without any kind or reluctance
