Ok so forgive me if I’m wrong but I think she found evidence behind a painting or something and the blonde dude had a scheme the entire time and approached her for that reason and she felt betrayed. Also I think she confronted him and he confirmed it was true (again don’t hate on me if I’m wrong I’m going off my memory and it’s been awhile)

He lied and manipulated her family into giving him their land for a penny after he found gold there. He also picked her to marry because she would not seem as a threat to the king so his plan of taking the throne. He then as a final Neil in the coffin lies to her to get her to drink the medicine she don't want that end up killing their child.
He time and time again has nor listened to her or manipulated her to make it go his way
