I am. But I'm not saying that Javier is bad and Rashta is good. I think Rashta is terrible! She is greedy and a bad person, but of course I pity someone who was a fucking slave! That is inhuman, she endured countless tortures and her lover betrayed her and they took her baby away from her.of course she is awful and mentally unstable! Honestly I don't blame her, I would hate the world too. But the thing is, if she hadn't been out in positions of power, she wouldn't have been able to do harm. The one truly responsible here is Sovieshu! Like this girl didn't know how to read and spoke of herself in third person! Of course she is not in her right mind, who would even think of 1) exposing her to court 2) giving her power.
The one in charge of protecting the empire and that had to defend Javier was Sovieshu. The one who cheated was Sovieshu. The one who gave power to an idiot was Sovieshu, all because he was horny. When we meet Rashta she has been living in uncivilized conditions, not even knowing how to behave because no one taught her better.
This man's best idea is to present her in court??? He is the one that should be hanged. Rashta is not blameless, of course. But if tomorrow a president out in charge of the military a crazy person and that person starts world war 3, imof course the crazy person should also be held accountable, but they are a crazy person. The one who bears most of the guilty is the president, the one who broke their duty
See I understand she was a slave, she didn’t know how to read or write but wasn’t she the one who wanted power? Didn’t she manipulate people surrounding her? Didn’t she almost got navier’s brother killed? Girl knew what she was doing. Yes her lover betrayed her and took her baby. But she knew that if she had no baby with the emperor she’d be out. Whenever sovieshit have attention to navier, she’d dislike it and almost like harass navier. Girl literally wanted to become sister wives with navier. She wouldn’t even respect Navier at all. I understand that back in the day it was common but uhm what the fuck. The fact that you are only blaming sovieshit when she also did horrible shit is beyond me. Like did we read the same thing or what? And I’ll say it again rashta didn’t wanna be friends with Navier. She wanted to become her, she wanted to be her. Instead of being her own person. And sovieshit deserves misery and so much more exactly how rashta is getting what she deserves.
Where do I say Rashta is blameless. I'm just saying that she is receiving the brunt of the guilt where I think Sovieshu is the worst of two and should receive the harsher punishment. I think Rashta should go to jail. But I think Sovieshu should be fucking executed. Because he wasn't only an incredibly damaging personal in just a personal level. But he damaged the whole nation! His crimes are graver than Rashta because he tarnished the sacred duty of protecting his nation. His action and his foolishness is what sinks the empire into instability. Rashta is an outsider brought by him in the political scene. Her actions inside politics are his responsability because as a leader he legitimized her authority. Rashta had no power, has no power. Her power was sovieshu's it was borrowed. Of course I blame him more. Rashta's crime are of a more personal natura. Sovieshu's are of a personal AND political nature. And when it comes to politicsyou don't impact just your wife(Navier) and a few other. He probably has ruined countless lives of the citizens by his greedy ass actions.
Honestly, I don’t understand why Navier is being blamed. Instead of blaming Rashta for her actions, she chose what to do and what to say. Her actions got consequences and now she gotta deal with it. She wanted to become navier. She didn’t wanna be friends with her. It’s literally proven throughout the story and the novel. I just don’t get why Navier is getting the heat.
