- Fiona is the FL and author of the novel. She ended up in OG Fiona's body. Remember, there's two Fiona. OG Fiona had harsh childhood until the end of the her time. No one loved her. So in the future there will be a scene when OG Fiona become jealous and want to take everything away from Fiona. But at the end, instead pursuing her revenge Fiona successfully made an agreement with OG Fiona. OG Fiona gave her last fragmented soul of her which is still pure and not tainted with sadness. The last thing she want to protect. Fiona take the responsibily for make OG Fiona's past life difficult and promise she will give love, care and affection to OG Fiona next life. That's when OG Fiona reincarnated as Fiona's daughter. She nurture OG Fiona at her best abilites until the story end. Although reincarnated as Fiona's daughter, she doesn't remember her past life meaning all sadness and her struggles now are gone. Fiona trying to change her end with an happy ending.
- Sigrene, ML. The 2nd Crown Prince. He was born from non-nobel mother. A dancer, if I recall correctly. Went back to capital as hero after slashing the dragon and took its heart. Based on the novel, Sigrene should have end up with OG lover. But he fall in love with Fiona. Because Fiona is his savior. No chance for the original story to develop because Fiona saved him and dot on him all the time (Fiona felt it's her responsibilty to take care of ML because the story she wrote about him unknowingly hurting him so bad). For Fiona it was a sense of duty but for Sigrene of course it becomes something else. Later on both genuinely in love. There are dramas between them but feels anti-climax and rushed.
- Abel, adoptive father for Fiona and master for Sigrene. Important character in this story. He is the reason why Fiona had a chance to escape Green family who tormenting her since childhood. A sword master for Sigrene. He act as guardian for main character.
- There's a lot of side character which unfortunately the author failed to make notable development for them. So in the end I feels like their existence solely just to fill the story without being meaningful. Majority of side characters are supportive to main characters.
- There will be Empress, Crown Prince 1 and 2nd ML. All of them delivers nothing. Weak enemies.
To sum it all : Fiona, both OG Fiona and the current one are superior Mage. Too strong. All the problems for her isn't the battlefield. The battlefield looks like child play tbh. I wish it will be more battle pack scenes. The dynamic between Fiona and Sigrene is average. Sure Fiona saved his life but later in story it's Sigrene who gives his all that saved the day.
Read this one if you need some fun from cliche medieval fantasy romance. Expect nothing grande and well-written characters or story. Not that bad, not that amazing either.
