That's what I'm saying. I read the novel and he only really got revenge on 2 people, and the revenge itself was mid as hell since they deserved to suffer a lot more. And the rest is him trauma bonding to whoever is left and living "happily" ever after. Very disappointing.
think I might go ahead and read the novel too since many say it's written really good. I seen spoiler comments about the gist of the story and the outcome. I mainly pick this up cause I seen they say the MC is strong and gets revenge. I love real revenge stories something about seeing someone get justice for the pain that they endure excites me. But honestly it doesn't seem like it's true revenge. Yea things happen but admist the chaos and abuse he eventually falls in love with 2 of the characters and ultimately decides on being with 1. That doesn't sound like true revenge it seems like trauma bonding and adapting to his situation. When I think of revenge I think of punishment for all parties that done wrong to the victim. However, I'm still going to read the series cause it does seem interesting I like complex characters.
