She already likes him but is running away because his feelings belonged to the 'original' Louise (I think she's the original tbh). Also, with the prophecy, she's going to need marriage and protection. Her family can't do it all
ML makes me cringe. FL would be happier just being with her family than being forced to marry him.. its like hes trying to induce stockholm syndrome because of some dumb promise from when they were kids and the author is going to force FL to like him even tho its unrealistic and against her goals.
