Exactly. It's so annoying to see the rape/pressure to sexual acts to love pipeline - trope be so persistent in yaoi, especially in 2024. Even yaoi that has the potential to be good involves it, without it being necessary. In this yaoi, to some extent, it makes sense given the dark plot, but still...
It's just viewed as romance when it's just... Not it. It's so uncomfortable makes the love feel doused in this sickly grey coat forever no matter what they do. Doesn't help that when you call out this weird troupes everyone jumps you like you are wrong for thinking something like this fictional or not is wrong
