I hate to break it to you babe but there will ALWAYS be an audience for stuff like this. Everyone has their special interests and kinks and whether this is how they view reality or not it will not disappear, that's why there are shows like Game of thrones and The boys that are very popular which is very graphic and depict SA very vividly and I wouldn't say these shows are great at showing why SA is bad but it's shock factor and they like it. It's unfortunately one of those things where if it's not for you then you don't have to get into. I understand that society has probably developed desensitization because of us making all these different types of 18+ media that is very public but this is more of a societal issue that some people have fallen victim to.
Other great example is USA strange relationships with serial killer, they’re like idol. They romanticize every situation about them.

This’s out of control fellow readers. I stopped reading this a long time ago and I’m just here for the yapping.
But my opinion is that, if you really want to see the Yaoi community change and finally get rid of the SA trope, we must not argue here, this going nowhere, like I said before, the authors, writers, publishers of all these stories aren’t here in the mangago comment section.
The first step is to stop giving it audience, and that’s the main problem, you won’t stop reading it. Giving it audience, even if you leave bad reviews means that you’re interested in the story and that you’re waiting to see some development.
Boycotting stories like that for the beginning by not reading it, is the best thing to do because THEY WILL NOT KEEP PUBLISHING SOMETHING THAT NO ONE IS READING, talking or arguing about!
