He's honestly just a spoiled young brat who is an emperor. Other than that there's really nothing bad about him. I think it suits his character and the story. It's not like other stories where characters do stupid or unforgivable things and I'm just left wondering "but why though"

Unless you're competent, all emperor's are trash because of the actions they allow. He clearly does not care about justice, he just likes her now. How many other people must be dieing without reason in that world?
I don't particularly dislike him, I just don't care for his character. But I like the mc, and I like Lin. We can read something without being onboard with every decision a story takes.
