Yoma??? I thought Japanese urban legends are called yokai 😭

Iirc, yokai are like ghost and spirit monsters while Yona are like demon and orge-like monsters

Youkai are the umbrella term for supernatural beings in Japanese folklore. They may be good, bad or neutral. Youma are a type of youkai that mostly seek to harm humans, just like the ones that appeared in this manga. "Ma" in the word youma means demon, devil or something of evil influence.

At least that's my understanding. I might be wrong.
