And so are you. You can't blame Edith for acting the way she is. This is a normal response out of many. She wants to live so she is doing all the possible solutions and she didn't know until it was too late who the author possessed. We knew because we are the readers but Edith had so much on her plate that she couldn't think faster and didn't think the author was also in the story.
STUPID Like I said. All she does is run away
That is not being stupid. That is wanting to live until the very end. Learn the difference. I have seen much stupider FLs than Edith. Running is a NORMAL RESPONSE. If she confronts those people now, she will die. That would be STUPID. All she has left before accepting death is to flee until she has RAN OUT OF ALL OPTIONS.
She is far from stupid.
