This one chapter made me hate the duke completely. Even if he didnt cheat and was probably away to relieve his pain of losing his child in silence, the kids or their mom doesnt know they. Evan is 100% in right to come up with this conclusion. Duke hardly visited or consoled the mom after loosing their daughter, didnt let the kids even mourn for their mother "coz that will ruin their rep", brought a daughter into the family and suddenly acted all affectionate and happy towards her that he never showed to the twins during the tough time And expected the kids to just go along with it and love her like nothing happened. If i was a kid i would think the same that the dad was having an affair while mum was greiving and dying and the moment she died, dad brought back his affair child. I hope they confront the duke abt it and duke regrets neglecting his own children, and I hope he clarifies that he never cheated on their mum, and i hope the siblings get along well too. But for now i understand evan, tho his coldness towards fl isn't fair but understandable.
