I'll try to explain, but remember the love comes from a Sadist and Hwayoung is a true Sadist. Usually, one like that have a really possessive and obsessive outlook on love. A lotta times, it's just wanting to own a person, but when love is involved--as in they fall in love--that ownership becomes possession (sounds like the same things, but in the bdam world, they can be two different things). The love is obsessive and very dark and very emotional. It's heavy and can be stifling to their Lover bc of how hard the Sadist's love is. Hwayoung does love Gyuwon. But Hwayoung has never been in love. Especially when it comes to a Sub. That makes him clumsy when it comes to knowing how to love, but like it was shown, ever since he was a kid, when he wanted something, he had to have it. And he would love it to the point that he got the urge to break it and destroy it. It's the same with Gyuwon. I know it doesn't make sense but sometimes, a person--especially in the BDSM world as a Sadiat--will love someone so hard and so severe that they want to destroy the person. I think it's subconsciously bc they don't want anyone else to have that person. Plus, Hwayoung was becoming jealous bc of his blond friend wanting Gyuwon. He didnt want :That's why in those chapters, Hwayoung was talking about wanting to break Gyuwon and sever his limbs so that he can't walk (bc if he can't walk, he won't be able to "walk away" from Hwayoung aka the relationship and he would forever get to possess Gyuwon. It's all very overwhelming for Hwayoung, therefore, his love is overwhelming, and again possessive and obsessive.
I guess ML like the other person said ^^ is full-on a sadist. It isn’t like what you probably have seen in other stories where they just automatically switch such a personality on and off, separating bedroom and personal life. He’s like this and thinking like a sadist 24/7. It isn’t supposed to be fluffy romance where they act like any other couple in other stories where you have to check in or be considerate towards the other. In the beginning, it was just starting out and easing into the bdsm, in the later chapters it looks like they’re actually stepping up the level. Like ML’s friend said, ML has been holding back and been pretty easy on MC. He’s only now finding it harder to hold back. Also I’m pretty sure that guilty part is also part of bdsm play lmao.
Does ML love MC? Why did he treat MC like that in CH 82–83 I’m so confused. And in CH 72, he makes the blondie hear them through phone, having sex.
I swear back then they confessed and everything, it was in the bedroom I believe. And then later they act like they’re not even dating. But ML did tell others that MC is his boyfriend but then he’s not(?).
ML makes MC feel guilty about himself. ML tells him he can’t even handle the BDSM play/ specifically the lashes, and MC tears up and says he can do it.
