agreed. i've even commented this previously, but there are like a billion chapters that end with riftan saying "explain what my wife is doing here >:(". atp i literally just want them to divorce and maxi to reach her full potential as a mage
I wish Riftan would, when the time is appropriate of course, stop being an angry sack of shit and literally just have a regular fucking conversation with this woman and treat her like a human being capable of making complex decisions and caring for herself. The way he's infantalizing her like she's some porcelain doll is so infuriating and it's literally only because he refuses to TRY and communicate with her. She is the only one attempting to have a conversation while he wants to brood in a corner and worry and be angry over a situation that could've resolved itself with literally just talking calmly. I cant stand the fact that while worrying about her he is disrespecting her feelings, her autonomy, undermining her intelligence and completely disregarding her skills to boot. He can't even be supportive and say "I appreciate you. Thank you, Im so proud of you".
