In the stories first Q&A, which you can read for free on Lezh!n, Koogi calls it a BL. It's classified as a BL on the site it's published on and within the story itself, the author calls it a BL. It's a BL, simple as that. You not wanting to acknowledge it as such doesn't negate that it is.
