To begin with, I've only read up until the first 11 chapters (because I needed a break from the immaturity).
The og comment perfectly delved into the behaviour that confirms it for readers that the FL is, in fact, spineless, and it's okay that she is. The proof is that she's willingly upheld a fairly superficial friendship and hasn't ever read further into her friend's behaviour (she's never insisted on gaining an explanation nor confronted him and pressed him properly) yet she'd let it get to her everytime he'd act in a way she's hurt by. She purposely overlooks her boundaries, lets them get trampled over and then she's evidently pained. And merely because people are annoyed with this trait doesn't mean they prohibit her from being herself.
As reasonable it is for her to be spineless is also for readers to be upset, because everyone experiences a story differently. She's got character flaws that upset people cus everyone's DIFFERENT. God, despite understanding where they come from, you don't always need to show leniency to everyone. For example, I held an impersonal stance towards the story until she was swayed by the mf to take him to her house: as much as I understand her confusion and will to give him the benefit of the doubt, she made a total mattress out of herself and just kept going. And I get upset when authors make women to be utter fools over men for no reason, and in this case, men they never even tried to understand.
I think our definition for “spineless” may be different. And me saying that isn’t me being “lenient”. Spineless to me in a story is someone who lets EVERYONE walk all over them and let that become their whole personality. From what I’ve seen the FL only falls short of outright denying and calling out ML’s actions only (because of the reasons op said). And while being spineless isn’t necessarily a negative thing entirely (because there’s always room for improvement) people here make the FL out to be nothing but that. I hate female characters being written out to be doormats for male characters as well and thats why my frustration goes more towards the ML with hopes of FL getting over him. It doesn’t make me label her as spineless. We can agree to disagree

Honestly for the rating, the story is a lot better than you’d think. Also, I don’t think the FL is ‘spineless’ like yall keep calling her. Shes been friends w the ML since they were kids, she’s just used to not reading into shit to keep their friendship going.
She lets him get away w shi cause he’s attractive, but also because that’s their dynamic. She has loyalty to him so that’s why she’s still friends with him. They’re childish, but it’s not a complete turn off lmao.
I’m not saying the MLs actions are ‘right’ per say, but I’ve seen way worse MLs lmao. It’s not like he’s intentionally playing her feelings either. I think he’s aware of how she feels and part of him reciprocates. But her mom told him not to fall for her, so he’s respecting her mom’s wishes. (Which is way more than other dudes, cause they have no problem breaking the FLs heart and leaving her parents to pick up the pieces lmao) and the art eats. ATP I just think you guys complain just to complain lmao. I don’t want to see any of you under some crappy BL story saying it’s the best.
