This was a mistake

I decided to reread this from chapter 1 and was hit by the new art style. I prefer the old art style. The vibe MC was giving has changed, I kind of don’t like it. He feels more shiny than soft if that makes sense.

I think I’ll take a little break and then start from season 2.

I kinda get it, to me it felt like it lost the whimsy. I really miss the chibis too.

i feel that way too, the crayon lineart felt very cosy and comfortable but the new art is still really pretty, we'll probably lose the gags and jokes in exchange for a fancier artstyle

there's definitely a better quality in the shading and probably proportions as well but I'm gonna miss those gags and fluffiness :')

I agree with you. For me old art style was one of the things why I liked this story so much! It was different, distinguishable and made characters more interesting. The new one is... pretty, but that's it, it lacks originality. The characters give off completely different vibes.

I can agree with the different vibes, Christelle does not feel like the same person and Jesse does feel less lovable. Still hold in there for the story!
