It looks to me like they had a thing for 5 minutes all those years ago and i'm failing to see what's so special that he can't stop thinking about him.
Maybe it looks like that because the manga has been super fast pace but he’s special to him because it was his first relationship and first relationship with another male, all throughout high school we only saw a few memories but im not surprised that he can’t stop thinking of him bc they never actually broke up and he made the MCS birthday something special so he can’t help but think about the other guy around the time of his birthday
ohhh that makes so much more sense,I didn't think about it from that perspective. Its not like he has been thinking about him for the last 5 years (idk iim just saying a random number) but he thinks about him around his bday because of the memories around it.
And you're right the pace is not helping me to get attached to them as a couple.
