Well not sure about you guys but what we actually lived about the story is how they grow with each other how together they overcame many difficulties and are finally at a point where they have a stable income a stable house and yeah the abuse is part of it too . It shows how relationship at some point can get very tiring and disturbing and you would even reach a point where you think that it's better to end it than to continue being in one because of how mentally tiring it is . But overall overcoming all of that. Because no matter how good a relationship is it's also very normal for it to have it's up and downs . Which is what we were shown here hence why people love it . Especially when they both were poor and had to do plenty of part time jobs to support each other they never let each other go and were there for teach other and learned from each other
It all sounds good but domestic abuse is never something “to get over” and “get better”. The story sets a bad narrative. If it wanted to talk about how relationships get tiring after a while then punching/slapping was not necessary for the story.
The problem with chores also just reminds me of a real life problem with men and their “weaponised incompetence” which is a manipulation method.
That’s what I don’t like about the story. The idea is good and realistic, sure. The execution? Poor.
If you really love the story - don’t take criticism so close to heart. I’m not criticising people who like the story. I’m just pointing out that the whole narrative “you can get over the domestic abuse with love!” is not healthy to push in a story.
I'm on chapter 10 and I still don't understand why people love this story so much. Does no one really see a problem in the fact that uke keeps beating seme? He literally slapped him several times and hit him on the hands. What a sick piece of shit. It's just violence in a relationship. Imagine a woman in seme's place if you still don't understand what the problem is.
And people here have the nerve to say that this is a healthy and realistic relationship. Seriously? You beat up your partner in real life and you think it's healthy? I feel sorry for your partner. ( ̄へ ̄)
And let's be honest, uke is incredibly annoying - he constantly whines, takes offense and acts like an idiot.
