they did. the marks are when the two partners are in love with each other so they make a design, a tattoo basically, on the mark that was once there. when the side story comes out it is most likely the author will have their marks designed
when i mean in love with each other, i mean when the two mated with one another
So….They never explained the marks, was that irrelevant cause they kinda made a big deal about it.
