Im guessing you mean you would also track them, be jealous of friends, and have someone monitor them if in Sunbae's shoes? I can more or less agree to that to some level. The rape and duplicating the apartment key without consent to break into the place was a lot though. Specially bothered me because the story always presented them jokingly as "look at how crazy Sunbae is hahaha".
I don't personally think the story sucks tbh. I do think Sunbae improves a lot with time. That's shown in how vastly different his reaction to the pregnancies were. First time around he was happy because he could use it to entrap Hosik. He didn't care how freaked out Hosik. Second time around his whole reaction was out of concern for Hosik and his well-being. I also love the historical side story.
My actual beef is that this story has the "cute" and "adorable" tags. That shits concerning to me. While there are some cute parts in the story like the babies and whatnot, there's a lot in there, specially in the earlier parts, that is objectively not cute. Cute is something like Kawaii Hito by saitou ken.
I don’t agree that it was rape.. He genuinely taught Hosik was consenting after asking about his feeling and him responding normally and even moving into the physical touching.. it was only after he passed out that his hang over hit him and made him forget…The duplication of the key I believe his mom gave him permission(I need to re read it) .. but hosik and his friend does tell him what he does is wrong but he genuinely doesn’t know if you don’t tell him and he does try to fix his bad habits
I'll disagree with you there. You can simply ask yourself, had Hosik been completely sober that night, would Sunbae have made physical advances and would Hosik have consented? When it comes to the night they first had sex:
1) Hosik has flashback of regaining consciousness in the middle of it and telling Sunbae to stop and Sunbae didn't stop
2) Sunbae knows Hosik is black-out drunk in that party and even verbally acknowledges it. Not only that, he was the one who pushed Hosik to get drunk. Someone who is drunk cannot give consent. By the time Hosik gets to Sunbae's home, he is still visibly drunk.
3) The day after, Sunbae coerces Hosik to keep doing it with him in exchange for clothes so that Hosik can return home. Just so we are clear, using coercion for sexual acts is assault.
In the context of the story, these interactions are treated as jokes. None of it is supposed to be taken seriously. But from a real world perspective, it's not actually a joke and for some people it's upsetting that something so serious would get treated so lightly.
Some people complaining about this story without even reading the whole story lol
