Bro in my family all parents beat their kids. The difference between those who turned out fine was beaten for a reason and beaten until fainted cause you hurt their ego.
I've failed exams, still my parents gave me disappointed looks and reality sense (they wouldn't care if you could get good job with medium results) . I can't imagine getting 99 and being beaten for it.
I know you edited your comment, but physical abuse isn't the only thing that harms someone, so even if he got only two "measly" beatings, it would still scar him along with the emotional pressure. :(
bro only got beatings TWICE in his life and only w a cane- i remember getting beaten by sticks of all sizes and varieties, waist belts, a charger usb cord, a hanger, a spatula, even a fucking comb, you name it lmao so much so i've become desensitized to ppl hitting me (to some extent) and ik it's not smth i should be flexing abt but i just can't help but look down on the mc lol
