As for reason : I'll summarise the comment i wrote after reading it, you can read the original long ass comment on my profile if you want to.

I'm obsessed with this story! I regret not reading it sooner due to misconceptions about the art style and plot. The negotiation scene was incredibly hot and well-written, and the relationship is captivating. I cried due to the emotional depth! Jin Ye (seme) is my ultimate man - his intensity and devotion have me swooning. The plot is engaging, suspenseful, and expertly paced. I adore An Nuo's (uke)self-sufficiency and stoic yet heartfelt expressions of love. The author's talent is undeniable, and I wish this masterpiece hadn't ended so soon!

    Sangyang:the Wanderer

    Summary:
"Someone's tattooing me in my sleep. On the night of his birthday, Xin, the sole heir of the powerful Zhou family, reunites with Lau, his clan guardian, and confides in him about the mysterious tattoo forming on his back. Lau begrudgingly sets off to investigate this strange phenomenon, but what secrets will he uncover along the way?"

I love literally everything about this manhwa. It's very similar in vibe to a shounen/seinen, focusing mostly on the mystery plot. Many people don't like that there isn't more romance so far, but imo that makes the romantic moments hit harder when they do happen (also trust me there's going to be plenty of more romance judging by the raws). Another reason I don't mind the limited moments of romance is because of just how goddamn good the plot is. It spoon-feeds you just enough hints to start piecing together the mystery yourself but not enough to make everything feel boring because you know everything that's going to happen.

Also the characters are just so likable and enjoyable to watch. I really love the protagonist's arc especially with how he's conflicted over protecting his master but not having enough faith in himself to do so. This is also contrasted by his small moments of hatred and rebellion against his master, but it's obvious he's just saying those things. The protagonist's love interest is also just really damn funny to watch (look up 인간 물티슈 GJ on youtube, its a short comedic trailer for the manhwa). Also, he's super damn pretty, like so pretty I have a whole album dedicated to him. To be honest, his character's arc is really sad (I can't say why without getting into spoilers but yeah). The main couple also has a ton of chemistry together. The side characters aren't sidelined and have character growth and arcs, just like the protagonists. All the characters are flawed but you can always see the reasoning behind their actions.

I really have no idea why this story isn't way more popular. It deserves all of that and so much more. 10/10
