i love romance too much so i'll still recommend two to check out. "A Shoulder to Cry On" is just a great exploration of trauma around the perception of self and it's self-destructive nature. Also "The Less Than Epic Adventure of TJ and Amal" is my all time favourite BL story. It follows these two seemingly contrasting personalities that gets a slow burn while their path cross during a road trip.
Honestly, a lot of western webcomics got some pretty great stuff like "Castle Swimmer" or even "Electric Bones"
