Agreed this white washing is just ugh. I mean at least the characters know they were doing terrible things despite the story's tone implying otherwise. Honestly telling her about her condition would have 1) prevented her from overusing her power to help Samuel, 2) allowed her to understand why she needs structure, 3)releived a lot of pain and stress from her restrictions, 4) allowed her to make decisions about her own welfare. Being forced to live a certain way by people and choosing to live that what are obviously different and one doesn't feel like shit.
I've read webtoons with abusers who haven't even come close to how much her "family" and "lover" abused her like how can them caring about her change the horrible abuse, how tf is it justified bc "ThEy lOveD hEr", "tHey WeRe jUSt tRyIng tO pROtecT hEr" like bitch thats what so many abusers say absolute nonsense
