You're not alone, i honestly never liked the manga format to start with so there wasn't exactly a phase for me where I used to read a lot of mangas but yes I've definitely read enough to decide that I like manhwas much more than it. The manhwa artstyle and format is much more easier on the eyes for me.
In my case- I prefer manga over manhwa.....
I started reading manhwa first then manga.... So I preferred manhwa obviously cus of the art style but now I realised I like manga more... I don't know how it changed but manga is more diverse ig....
Same with my friend she reads manhwa cuz of the art style....
I feel like after a certain point you start to know what will happen before the story is completed based on the genre and a few hints with manga. Now adays other than the gems everything is short, rushed, and can easily have the plot be compared to 20 others with a few small changes. It gets hard to enjoy after a while. The longer ones are also a bit repetitive but they have more substance to them and are much more thought-out. It definitely depends on personal taste but after years of reading its hard to be satisfied.
Feel you there here’s a recommendations I enjoy reading has nothing to do with what your saying but I hope it helps so you with feel bored https://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/life_going_wild_with_plug_ins/ (๑•ㅂ•)و✧
Ive been a bl reader here for so many yrs now. I don't know why I've started to lose interest in reading manga nowadays, like i feel that they're too short or the story progresses too quickly like flash. Ever since I started reading manhwa(Korean version) i got so hooked with these long stories and fully developed plotlines and I feel that Koreans ones are more clear and clean you know in terms of dialogue and art as well. Like manga has too many bubble speeches ,it get distracted from the drawing. Is there anyone who feels the same as me or am I the only one?
