I like some cliché plots but this "I was the real one" trope needs to retire. It's basically counting on the reader getting frustrated and angry and following the story just to see the comeuppance. It has nothing of value but the "face slap" part. Don't get me wrong, every story needs some cliffhanger to keep the reader's interest but this isn't it. This isn't a cliffhanger, this is "knowing what will happen and just waiting for it to happen" like some old soap opera where the ML's ex girlfriend shows up with a baby claiming it's his and the audience knows she is lying but is waiting for the revelation. I was never interested in that stupidity. There should be more to a story than this bullshit it else I would just go on wattpad and read a story written by a 12 year old about a rejected werewolf mate

Lmfao, yeah, along with the trope of 'everyone she knows and loved is actually evil and hated her all along' it gets really old fast
