idk why but i feel like in this story, they refer to the person as the empror because there was no partner. does that make sense? Since the husband of cedric's mother refused to take a title(if i remember correctly). If he had he would be the emperor and cedric's mother would be the empress. But since there is no emperor i think everyone refers to cedrics mother as the emperor (figure head of the empire) but shes a woman. DOES THAT MAKE SENSE IDK EITHER WAY IM PISSED WE NEED NEW CHAPS
I think it's because she's the one with the Imperial lineage. Even if her husband around, he'd be called Prince Consort, or so.
