I enjoyed reading the first season because it was well paced and told a good story - S2 is rambling and disjointed. There are too many characters doing way too many things in the present, then we get backstory chapters mixed in here and there too. I enjoy backstory - it's what makes a story come alive, but mixing it up with what's going on in the present is confusing to the reader. AND THEN - just for fun - make sure to dangle a lil' love triangle all up in that confusing mess and hope ppl will keep reading to find out what the endgame is.

I'm a writer, so this kinda shit irks me to no end. I'm over it. ┑( ̄Д ̄)┍

i mean the love triangle was there from the start. also i feel like what’s taking away from the story for us is the fact that we read one chapter every 10 or so days. this makes the pacing feel 100x worse than if we were binging it

i think if you were to drop it for a while and then come back and reread the whole thing, it wouldn’t be as bad as you think it is rn cause it would allow you to go through the story quicker and more coherently making the overall story look much more cohesive than it does now

this is coming from a decade long one piece fan that reads new chapters weekly or biweekly. i mean i sat through an arc that took about 4 irl years to complete and in the moment i felt like it was good, but too bloated and all over the place. now, 2 or so years later after giving it a reread, it’s my favorite arc in the series. just tryna give you a change in perspective here <3
