Maybe it's because both of my siblings are half siblings.... but what does it matter??? Whether they're half siblings, adopted, step-siblings they're still brothers who care about one another. Rather than it being the judge of the kid's character, it's the father's fault if it were even true. So to bully a child just because of being born is immature to the highest degree. I know different cultures value different things and they view things differently, but that's outrageous.
