hoping the author realizes there’s different types of BDSM that can be pleasurable to both of them and explores that aspect. getting kinda tired of authors over generalizing bdsm as this abusive and physically taxing way of having sex. needing the author to wake up desperately

So, in the NOVEL the seme tests the uke first. They have hardcore BDSM sex. Then they have vanilla sex instead. Then the seme has the uke draw up a list of BDSM things he’d like trying to see if there’s something he would
like and it ends up being a VERY small list but they work with it and the seme stretches the list out so they still have long intense sex even when they’re hardly even doing BDSM anymore. They sort of alternate to each other’s tastes and there is a lot of compromise. The upcoming hardcore stuff is a bit rough, though. The uke is consenting, he just doesn’t like some of it and this is how he learns a few of his limits iirc.
Will the seme finally able to love him? Cus the way i try to understand the novel he seems doesnt change that much, like to controlling the uke, manipulating him to get what he wants

I think the novel is better at explaining this than the comic, but the seme is into WAY more intense stuff than this. Like, he is an explicit sadist. So even when he’s giving the uke an enema (which is cut from the comic if that’s something that squicks you out—I just read through the available raws to see if the upcoming scenes were softened, and they are!!) or using a ruler with engravings on it to spank the uke, this is nowhere near what he really wants to do. He’s very into pain. And obviously the uke isn’t (though he does actually enjoy being spanked). So… the seme changes a lot for the uke in relation to his preferences.
Also, the seme is already in love with the uke. He may not seem like it now without the added context of how extreme his tastes truly are, but he’s actually incredibly soft with the uke. He’s never treated anyone else like this. He would completely cut BDSM out of his life if it meant keeping the uke. The uke just doesn’t want him to, because he wants them both to enjoy aspects of their sex life. Takes a bit for the both of them to understand that, though.
The seme would rather just have totally vanilla sex with the uke actually because he knows that’s what the uke likes most and he doesn’t want the uke to hate him or hate the sex (especially after he learns about the uke’s trauma… this is where the spoilers saying the seme ends up groveling for forgiveness come from). The uke ends up being the one who insists they do some BDSM since he wants the seme to enjoy the sex as well. The seme does like the vanilla sex of course, it’s just that he would prefer BDSM. The uke’s list is very vanilla in terms of BDSM, btw. From what I remember it’s pretty much just collars, spankings, and that’s it. The compromise is almost all on the seme’s side!
