no thats so valid. Like i find this more disturbing than other dubcon/noncon stories bc like, this is so against the rest of the story's vibes. Up until now he's been a generally good and attentive guy and having him switch up on us like that in a story thats generally feel-good makes it feel like it's saying that this is an okay thing to do. If i wanna dissociate from reality and read something kinda fucked, I'd rather read something that has an expectation that you don't take it serious. But this is such an unpleasant tonal shift where i was NOT prepared for it.
