I don't really hate love triangles , sometimes I can handle them . But it pisses me off when the worst one is chosen by MC at last . And I end up with Second ML syndrome . Like why even make it a love triangle then ??.. when 2nd ML mostly never gets chosen ╮(╯_╰)╭
Usually the best thing to do is just look at the covers. If you don’t see both guys fairly getting a chance on the cover it’s not a true love triangle. By true love triangle I mean it’s not a situation where it could be either guy.
The guy on the cover is the main guy/winner of the story. The guy who is not on it or barely on it is just there to add some conflict. This works for almost any manga. Cover boy/girl=winner.

But what's the deal with stories being a love triangle but the cover only features two characters. THEN IT'S THE SECOND ML WHICH ISNT EVEN ENDGAME. LIKE...ISNT THAT CATFISH??
