I think the uke started out being a bit afraid of the seme, but now he's just afraid of his own feelings for him and is trying to run from that.
The seme started out just looking for a convenient BDSM partner and while the arrangement was admittedly a bit exploitative, he started protecting the uke professionally and looking out for him too. I think the seme's offer of finding the uke a new job in another firm, or moving companies himself, was generous. I didn't find it to be manipulative. Just two broken characters doing the best they can, as you said. The pair are now addicted to each other ha ha

I'm so glad he voiced my annoyance about the bottoms statement lol I think the bottom didn't actually hate it as he privately has admitted otherwise, he was just upset and wanting to lash out. Doubling back and saying different just shows his desperation and I respect the top for trying to say no before he finally got to the bottom of his behavior. And he then gave in because I think he's happy about the feelings for him. Idc what anyone says I like this story lol Yay for communication and broken characters!
