I only hate the side couples in a manga/webtoon if it's a really toxic relationship, or I didn't like the characters in the main storyline, it could also be both of those if it's toxic, and I also hate the two characters that are the side couple. If the side couple isn't toxic and the two characters have a healthy cute relationship then I don't understand why people would hate them （￣へ￣）
Yeah but I sometimes hate when author's pull something up their sleeves and give the side couple waaayyy more attention then the main couple and overdoes it.

and in puppy love the side couple is literally more interesting and better than the mains lets bfr..
