I'm gaslighting myself to another ending for the 1st story; after Seere's death, Jesse lived a leisure life following his dreams, but his mental health slowly declining... So one fateful morning he never woke up. The last thing he thought was to be reunited with Seere again, someday. After that, Seere's soul (which was in limbo, but with Jesse's death it broke out) and Jesse's soul both lingered on earth until they found a vessel. They got reunited once again, fulfilling Jesse's dying wish...
