leo was simply happy go lucky, he didn’t know that there was a problem with their relationship until jj decided to break up with him while he’s drunk saying he’s just tired of it. jj didnt just say what his problem with leo was so leo just accepted it as jj hating him. leo is pretty clueless in everything so when he started fucking up his races he didn’t think that it could be cus he’s taking the breakup badly but deep inside he acknowledged that its cus he’s missing jj in some way. he made this airheaded decision that maybe its cus he wasnt fucking jj anymore and he lost his lucky charm bc of the other people that said so. literally we wouldnt have this drama if jj only explained his part when he decided to break up with leo at like the first chapters cus if he knew leo he should know that he needs things said straightforward.

They both need to communicate. I was so mad at leo for being stupid and with the friends with benefit plot. You're right jj is also in the wrong but I just didn't really pay much attention to him cuz I mainly always focus on mcs until the ml pov is out and then I put my focus on them. I'm autistic and have a hard time understanding people's actions, so I need their pov. And when leo asked jj to be fwb I just didn't understand why he wouldn't just confess. Jj is the type of person that keeps things to himself and he is obviously a red flag after that sex scene.

yup understandable! like theyre kinda bad for each other right now cus leo’s not consciously trying to do anything bad but he’s really dense with situations and people’s feelings and even his own while jj needs something more out of their relationship (i guess) but he always keeps to himself and decided to just be petty and angry about it and thats why theyre falling out right now
they need to work on themselves too if they wanna rebuild their relationship
I don't really feel bad for mc cause he deserves the treatment he gets from ml (except the sex). He did sound like a shity boyfriend: only wanting to fuck, treating ml only as a lucky charm and not a real partner. That also explains why ml didn't tell him about changing companies, cause mc only cared about himself.
